It started out oh so innocently, a passing interest in building a DIY microscope to snap pictures with a web-cam. This passing interest has transformed into a full blown hobby that includes field macro photography and photomicrography tabletop stacks. I enjoy the hobby, capturing decent images requires one to not only develop an eye for the shot but also a healthy dose of DIY innovation to tackle hardware limitations. There is nothing better then encountering an obstacle, developing an idea to tackle the problem, and successfully implementing a solution.
